An exhibition on Mary Quant, the fashion designer who burst onto the London fashion scene in the 1950s, popularizing the miniskirt and driving street culture in the 1960s, will be held at Bunkamura The Museum (Shibuya, Tokyo) from November 26, 2022 to January 29, 2023. Widely known for her iconic Daisy cosmetics line, Mary Quant was also a pioneer of 1960s London fashion and a pioneering female entrepreneur. Her modern and youthful designs revolutionized the way women dressed at the time. This exhibition will feature approximately 100 garments, brought to Japan from the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), as well as related materials such as accessories, small items, photographs, and magazines. The exhibition will trace Mary Quant's career as a designer and groundbreaking entrepreneur from 1955 to 1975. :
