This season, New Zealand eyewear brand Lewis Fredericks, making its Japan debut, and Scye Mercantile, a flagship retailer of Scye, are collaborating to create sunglasses that will be released on October 27th. Available exclusively at the Scye Mercantile store in Sendagaya, Tokyo, these hand-carved sunglasses made from natural buffalo horn feature a Scye Mercantile nameplate and the initial "S" on the arms. Four styles are available: square-base black horn with gray lenses (LF401MP)/brown horn with brown lenses (LF402MP), and round-base brown horn with brown lenses (LF411MP)/blonde horn with green lenses (LF412MP). Each pair comes with a high-quality case and beeswax for polishing the frames, and is priced at 50,000 yen. Lewis Fredericks was launched in New Zealand in 2014 as an eyewear brand. Using recycled horn from livestock such as buffalo and sheep, the brand creates products that make the most of the natural patterns and colors of each piece. Handmade by skilled New Zealand craftsmen, each piece offers timeless eyewear that is unique and individual. Another major feature of using natural horn is that it gradually adapts to the wearer's face.
