Dior Homme collaborates with artist Dan Witz on bold prints capturing scenes from rave parties

Sep 26, 2017

Dior Homme's 2017-18 Winter collection features a collaboration with Brooklyn-born artist Dan Witz. The collection is peppered with themes evocative of adolescence, including rave parties, gabber, and the Candy Boys. The collaborative pieces feature Dan Witz's oil paintings, known as "Mosh Pits," which Artistic Director Kris Van Assche has long admired. Known for his hyper-realist style, the raw energy of this signature series evokes a strong connection to the underground music scene, perfectly matching the spirit of "HARDIOR" (a portmanteau of "HARD" and "DIOR"), a key element of the collection.

The released items include apparel such as all-over print black wool jackets, denim jackets, knitwear, and pants, as well as leather goods such as a shopping bag with a removable strap (195,000 yen), a functional and lightweight backpack (195,000 yen), and a calf leather clutch bag (55,000 yen).

In addition, to complete the sophisticated "HARDIOR" style, there is a wide variety of shoes available, including sneakers with an all-over print body and waxed cotton shoelaces (74,000 yen), sneakers with white rubber soles (110,000 yen), and slip-ons (100,000 yen). Each item is on sale at Dior Homme boutiques nationwide.
