To support children around the world, Louis Vuitton, which has formed a global partnership with UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) called "LOUIS VUITTON for UNICEF," will release a new color-coded bracelet, "Silver Lockit Color," in five colors on September 14th.
The conflict in Syria is now in its seventh year, and has become the world's largest humanitarian and refugee crisis since World War II. Currently, approximately 6 million children require assistance inside Syria, and more than 2.5 million children have been forced to flee across Syria's borders. Louis Vuitton launched this global partnership in January 2016 to bring hope to children whose safety and health are threatened by conflict, disease, natural disasters, and other dangerous situations. The brand launched the "Silver Lockit" pendant and bracelet, inspired by the impenetrable tumbler lock that is the symbol of the Maison's founding. The partnership has helped raise $200 for each product sold, totaling more than $2.5 million. The newly released sterling silver Lockit "Silver Lockit Colors" come in five colors: yellow, purple, pink, blue, and black. Each color is priced at ¥30,000, and $100 will be donated to UNICEF for each product sold. The products will be available on the Louis Vuitton official website (www.louisvuitton.com) from September 14th and in 30 stores across Japan from September 15th.
