From August 25th to 30th, Omotesando ROCKET will be hosting an event to celebrate the publication of "FASHION∞TEXTILE," a book by Itohen representative Miyaura Shinya.
In 2012, Miyaura started the curation project "Secori Gallery," which aims to develop and innovate Japanese manufacturing, and currently continues to work to connect textile production areas with fashion designers, including opening community spaces called "Secori-so" in Tsukishima and Kanazawa.
The book, which was released on July 15th, spans approximately 160 pages and features collaborations between six young designers and textile manufacturers, including 5-knot and LOKITHO, interviews with designers, factories, and media representatives, and an introduction to the Hokuriku textile production area.
This event will feature textiles such as woolen fabrics, corduroy, and pile made in textile producing regions across the country that are featured in the book, as well as collaborative items between young designers and textile producing regions.
