The "I Want to Be Tamio Okuda" exhibition, focusing on musician Tamio Okuda, will be held from September 14th to October 2nd at the Parco Museum on the 7th floor of the Ikebukuro Parco Main Building.
Okuda Tamio founded his own label, Ramen Curry Music Records (RCMR), in 2015 and will release his first solo album, "Cactus Museum," on September 6th of this year. Furthermore, the film "The Boy Who Wants to Be Tamio Okuda and the Girl Who Drives All Men Crazy," due for release on September 16th, is currently generating a lot of buzz.
The exhibition will feature a "Recording Experience in the Okuda Mood" corner, where you can sing while switching between different audio sources, and a "Room Where You Can Become Tamio Okuda" designed by photographer Kenji Miura and designer Hajime Anzai, who also created the artwork for "Cactus Museum." In addition, valuable items on display include the master tape of "Easy Rider," which was actually used in the recording at the time and will be shown in Japan for the first time, a Tamio Okuda signature model guitar, gold discs, the samue (work clothes) worn on the "Hitori Matatabi" special tour at Hiroshima Municipal Baseball Stadium and at Itsukushima Shrine, work shirts and other costumes from past tours, and a model of RCMR character Hero Diggin. Official merchandise will also be on sale at the venue. A limited number of "Tamio Okuda Baseball Cards" (10 types in total, random designs) will also be given away as a special gift to paying visitors.
