To celebrate the fact that the pieces exhibited at Milano Salone will also be on display at the Loewe Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi store, Loewe held a press event inspired by the traditional Japanese technique of "kintsugi," offering an opportunity to experience the regenerative power of craft that lies at the heart of the collection. Kintsugi artist Kyoko Owaki demonstrated part of the kintsugi process for actor Yosuke Kubozuka, wearing new pieces from the FW22 Men's Collection. He enjoyed the process of applying lacquer to a cracked joint and sprinkling gold on top.
This year's Loewe exhibition will feature the world premiere of Loewe pieces to be exhibited at Milano Salone 2022.

The collection will feature an intersection of tradition and sustainability, including a square basket bag woven from recycled newspapers, a basket bag inspired by the straw weaving technique that has been passed down in the Galicia region of Spain for thousands of years, and a hand-woven basket made using the chisung (paper rope) technique by Yangsung Lee, a master paper weaver from Korea. The venue will also feature one-of-a-kind pieces created by applying a technique to restore natural fiber products using leather straps.
