For Summer 2022, Loro Piana presents a wardrobe for those who embrace the carefree life of Dolce Vita (sweet life). Inspired by Italian summer, the collection evokes a timeless, charming atmosphere full of discovery and smiles, expressed through a refined and versatile range of clothing and accessories. Simple and pure, the pieces exude the joy of the simplest moments. The color palette is inspired by vibrant summer tones, inspired by nature. Details feature nautical accents, reminiscent of the essence of Loro Piana.


One of this summer's must-haves, the Aeolian Basket is inspired by Sicily's Aeolian Islands, a coveted destination for artists and creatives. It's a magical place where you can sail from island to island and discover untouched nature. The beautiful cobalt blue sea stretches out before you, and the black volcanic rock, purple bougainvillea, and white houses contrast in perfect harmony. Inspired by a 1970s straw basket bag worn by Brigitte Bardot, the Aeolian Basket is the perfect blend of Italian craftsmanship, innovative technology, and sustainability. Each basket is handwoven using reclaimed organic cotton using time-honored braiding techniques (originally used to produce straw hats) in homage to the art of knitting. Each basket is meticulously handwoven by skilled artisans, resulting in a uniquely individual finish.


The Aeolian Basket also evokes nautical traditions in its details. Knotted details are reminiscent of yacht ropes. The handles are crafted using a special macrame technique, weaving cotton cord with a soft, rich, and incredibly smooth full-grain calfskin leather cord. Available in two sizes, the bag's appealing style allows it to be worn as a shoulder bag or handbag, making it extremely versatile.

A women's swimwear collection is also available. Crafted from the finest yarns, they offer comfort, shape retention, and durability. Drawing on Loro Piana's longstanding savoir-faire and exceptional materials, the Marine Jersey and Aquatic Jersey swimwear collections are crafted in these materials. The Marine Jersey is sporty, perfect for those who enjoy water sports while valuing design and feminine style. The Aquatic Jersey fabric is soft, sturdy, and smooth, and its retro silhouettes make it suitable for bikinis and one-piece swimsuits, perfect for off-the-beach days as well. The soft, warm colors—kummer, coral, blue, emerald green, and sand—are full of energy and vitality for days spent in the sun. Nautical charms add a unique touch. They are featured not only on the swimwear but also on a new version of the iconic white-soled shoes.
