Actor Wesley Snipes was born on July 31, 1962, in Florida, USA. He studied kung fu and capoeira as a child, and after attending a drama high school, he formed a theater troupe with friends. He also majored in theater at the State University of New York and appeared on Broadway after graduating. In 1986, he made his acting debut in the sports comedy film "Wildcats," directed by Michael Ritchie. The following year, Wesley appeared in the music video for "BAD" as Michael Jackson's friend. His performance was highly praised in Hollywood, and he starred in the 1989 film "Major League," playing the role of Willie, a playful, speedy batter. In the 1990s, he appeared in a series of Spike Lee films, garnering attention as a talented actor. He played the lead role of Max Carlyle in the 1997 film "One Night Stand," for which he won the Best Actor award at the Venice Film Festival. Meanwhile, Wesley has also appeared in numerous action films, taking advantage of the martial arts training he developed from a young age. His most notable work is "Blade," which was released in 1998 and subsequently developed into a three-part series. Based on an American comic book about a vampire, the film features a cool look featuring sunglasses and a black coat.
