Introducing this week's hot topic. The hot topic from July 20th to 26th was "Antoni Gaudi."

The "Special Exhibition: Gaudi x Takehiko Inoue - Synchronized Sources of Creativity," a collaboration between Spanish architect Gaudi and manga artist Takehiko Inoue, known for "Slam Dunk" and "Vagabond," is currently being held at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi. It's garnering attention as the finale of the "2013-2014 400th Anniversary of Japan-Spain Relations." If you're planning on visiting the exhibition, prepare here for double the fun!

A must-see is the manga drawn by Inoue specifically for the exhibition, depicting turning points in Gaudi's life!

Inoue spent a month in Spain creating his work. He used a room in Casa Mila, with a window overlooking the Sagrada Familia, as his studio.

■Inoue Takehiko's "Back Hurts" After Experiencing Traditional Culture. He took on the challenge of creating a "Giant Washi" that surpasses the Guinness World Record.
He also traveled to Echizen, Fukui Prefecture, to create a giant washi paper piece measuring 3.3 meters high and 10.7 meters wide, the climax of the exhibition.
