Balenciaga's new sneaker, the "Balenciaga Paris Sneaker," will be available in Japanese stores on May 23rd. The reimagined classic design interprets mid-century athleticism and timeless casual wear in black, white, or red with a white rubber sole.

The "Balenciaga Paris Sneaker" is finished with distressed canvas and rough edges for a worn-in look. It will also be available in lace-up styles, high-tops, and backless mules. A dedicated campaign depicts the shoes in an extremely worn, frayed, and soiled state. These still lifes by photographer Patricia Schwoerer and artist Leopold Duchemin suggest that the Paris Sneaker is intended to be worn throughout a lifetime. The Balenciaga Paris Sneaker will be available globally on balenciaga.com ahead of its global launch, and will be available in European stores on May 9th, US and Middle East stores on May 16th, and Japan stores on May 23rd.
