A new coffee and tea cafe will open on the 5th floor Living Room of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku. This unique initiative will see the store change approximately every one to two weeks. The new "KITCHEN DINING DECOR," which will be installed as part of a remodel of the floor on March 4, will feature a corner offering teas crafted with attention to not only the beans and tea leaves, but also the brewing method and tools. A bar counter within the cafe will house a variety of coffee and tea specialty shops and manufacturers, showcasing freshly brewed drinks along with their specialty beans, tea leaves, and delicious brewing techniques. The first to open will be "Bar Zingaro," a cafe by contemporary artist Takashi Murakami located inside Nakano Broadway. Fuglen oversaw the interior and coffee quality. This is a shop where you can enjoy coffee in a space decorated with carefully selected artwork. The shop will be open from March 4th to 17th. During the event, you can enjoy coffee brewed with coffee beans from the Kalita Wave series and other coffees, and Bar Zingaro's original coffee beans and mugs will be on display.
Next up will be Horiguchi Coffee, which will be open from March 18th to 24th. Since its founding in 1990, Horiguchi Coffee has been introducing high-quality beans and continuing to take cutting-edge approaches to roasting and brewing. During the event, several blends of coffee will be available, as well as special cups. During the event, Toshihide Horiguchi will also be visiting from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on March 21st and 22nd.
From March 25th to April 7th, the "HARIO V60 Cafe" will be open, where baristas will brew coffee using the Hario V60, a masterpiece that is leading the global coffee trend.
From 1pm to 4pm on April 4th, Ogo Issei from Saza Coffee, the barista who was crowned the 2014 Japan Brewers Cup champion, will be visiting the store. There will also be an event where you can enjoy the champion's techniques and flavors.
Furthermore, notable shops such as Maruyama Coffee are scheduled to appear from April 15th to 28th, lab.LABAR from April 29th to May 10th, and Micafeto from May 11th to 24th. (*All drinks are provided at an additional cost.)
