Burberry's sixth Japanese store, "Burberry Shinjuku," opened on September 18th at the Shinjuku 3-Chome intersection in Tokyo (3-1-20 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo). The four-story store, designed by Chief Creative Director and Executive Officer Christopher Bailey, combines traditional British motifs with cutting-edge technology. The façade features Burberry's signature check pattern and a gigantic 3.3-meter-wide, 5.8-meter-high LED screen. Inside, the store offers a wide range of items, from the brand's iconic Made in England Heritage Trench Coat to the Burberry Prorsum and accessories collections. The first floor features a scarf bar offering over 100 varieties of the brand's iconic Scottish cashmere scarves, and an embroidery service offering up to three letters of the alphabet. The women's floor also features Japan's first shoe room. Currently, Burberry operates a total of 34 stores in Shinjuku, Omotesando, Ginza Marronnier Street, Roppongi, Shinsaibashi, Kobe, and in major department stores across the country, including children's wear stores.
