Gucci has opened a limited-time shop on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building (The Stage). The shop will run until September 28th. This limited-time shop is being held as a pre-sale event for the latest collection, "GG BLOOMS," featuring exclusive prints on Gucci's iconic GG Supreme canvas. The venue features a lineup of items from the "BLOOMS" collection, including Alessandro Michele's "Dionysus" bag, symbolizing the new Gucci collection, as well as items featuring blooming geraniums. Isetan Shinjuku-exclusive items, such as bags featuring bee motifs, are also available, but as of the 25th, many items were in limited supply. The façade is decorated with glass and iron sculptures of calligraphy by calligrapher and artist Sisyu, which blend with the floral "GG BLOOMS" artwork on the walls to create a powerful space. The store also features new 7-meter folding screen paintings and calligraphy. These works by Sisyu resonate with Alessandro's collection, which uses natural motifs such as flowers, birds, bees, and tigers to suggest various stories, and express in beautiful Japanese words the idea that "in nature, things that seem opposite, like light and shadow, complement and support each other."
The stage, created in collaboration with the spatial design supervised by Alessandro Michele and Sisyu's works, is born from Gucci's design aesthetic of "embracing and expressing diverse beauty." It is luxurious, eccentric, romantic... expressing a truly diverse charm, it is a production that stimulates the senses and allows you to experience the new Gucci worldview.
