Each bookstore acts as a concierge, recommending "the book you should read now" to FASHION HEADLINE readers. Today, we'll be introducing books selected by Shelf (3-7-4 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), a Harajuku bookshop that specializes in foreign books.

■ Marfa Journal #4

The long-awaited fourth issue of MARFA JOURNAL, an art magazine launched in 2013 by Alexandra Gordienko, a London-based Russian photographer who has worked on publications such as Purple Fashion magazine, has been released.

This issue features a sharp perspective on influencers from fashion, art, and culture in general, and introduces them in a unique and unusual style not found in other magazines.

The first, second, and third issues published so far include interviews with Olivier Zahm, founder of Purple Fashion magazine, and Terry Richardson, and feature Alexandra picking out people she would like to meet now.
