On Christmas Eve, December 24th, Haruna Ai will make a surprise appearance in the window display at Barneys New York's Shinjuku store. She will arrive at the store at 6:00 PM and perform a mini-live concert in the window display, livening up Shinjuku's Christmas Eve night. Last November, the Ginza store also featured Yuming in a campaign, where she surprised customers by acting as the doorman. This year, Barneys New York is showcasing seven different window displays based on the theme "GIFT KING & QUEEN" at each of its stores nationwide. The Shinjuku store, which supports LGBT communities, has chosen transgender Haruna Ai as its motif. Her personal belongings, including the tiara, sash, and high heels she wore when she won "Miss International Queen 2009," are on display. Haruna Ai plays the "King & Queen" in portraits that mix photography and paintings, magazine collages and paintings. Furthermore, Chogokin figurines add a humorous touch to the campaign, along with stories from her own memories.

For this Barneys New York campaign, Yokoyama Ken of Crazy Ken Band is featured as the image character at the Yokohama store, and Natsuki Mari at the Ginza store. All stores feature logos and illustrations by illustrator Sorimachi Akira, and the overall display was designed by the store's creative director, Taniguchi Katsuhiko.
