Illustrator and art director Ed Tsuwaki's solo exhibition "QUAKENESS: REBIRTH" will be held from June 10th to 22nd at Omotesando Rocket Gallery on the third floor of Omotesando Hills Dojunkan. The exhibition will feature Tsuwaki's latest works, including his "QUAKENESS" series, an abstract painting series using acrylic and other mediums that Tsuwaki, a world-renowned fashion illustrator, first presented last year. These paintings, which stand out from his previous works, are created using a technique known as "QUAKENESS." The series is created by pouring paint onto woodblocks, letting it dry for several days, and then adding new paint as the paint dries, creating a new surface. The series evokes the dynamics of natural and human expression, evoking words like "earth- and cosmic-related life forms" and the boundary between the earth's surface and the ocean's surface. An event celebrating Tsuwaki's 50th birthday will also be held on the final day.
