Acne Studios has unveiled its Resort 2017 collection. Creative director Jonny Johansson has embraced music as his passion, and over the past few seasons, he has created collections that reflect various genres of music. For his Resort 2017 collection, Johansson was inspired by the American rock band, the Grateful Dead, a band that Johansson himself admired. Regarding the collection, Johansson said, "I'm very interested in the counterculture created by the Grateful Dead and their Deadhead fans. I wondered what kind of outfits a child carrying on the Deadhead legacy would wear. I expressed her cool demeanor and free-spirited style through a futuristic approach and intricate prints."
