"ISETAN BONDANCE 2016" will be held on the rooftop of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku from July 1st to 3rd, offering an "ISETAN SHINJUKU"-style adaptation of the summer festival, one of Japan's most iconic cultural traditions.

The event is part of the "JAPAN SENSES" campaign, which will be held at Mitsukoshi Isetan stores nationwide from June 29th to July 12th, exploring Japanese lifestyles and craftsmanship and promoting the "value of Japanese things" from a global perspective. "ISETAN BONDANCE 2016" will feature a stellar lineup of producers and performers each night, transforming Isetan Shinjuku into a special summer festival.

On July 1st, "The Unbeatable Colorful Bon Odori" will be held, produced by Kansai Yamamoto. A Bon Odori dance will be held in conjunction with "Super Energy!!," which will be held at Yoyogi National Gymnasium No. 2 on July 21st, and will include a performance by TEAM 337 supervised by EXILE USA, a participation project with Kumamoto Prefecture's "Yamaga Lanterns," and a collaboration with Honoo Taiko. On July 2nd, "Oshare Bon Odori Vol. 2," produced by Maruyama Keita, which was also held last year, will be held. This will be an even more powerful event, with guest live performances by Nomiya Maki, Yokoyama Ken, DJ PERI, and others, an original Bon Odori dance, a special festival, and more.

On July 3rd, "New Japan Theater Bon Odori" will be held. A special Bon Odori dance will be held, bringing together internationally acclaimed entertainment groups, including AUN J CLASSIC ORCHESTRA, a traditional Japanese instrumental unit that holds an annual live tour set at World Heritage sites; KAMUI, the "samurai sword artist" who combined formal beauty with acting and martial arts and choreographed the sword fights in Tarantino's "Kill Bill"; and CUBE, the "football entertainment group" that performed the world's first halftime show at Old Trafford, the home ground of Manchester United. A limited-edition menu will also be available in collaboration with SKY PARADISE BEER GARDEN, a beer garden currently open on the rooftop of the main building. A variety of summer festival-themed dishes will be available, including fireworks-inspired pizza and original cocktails using the popular sake "Dassai."
