The season's theme is "East Wind Thaws the Ice." It embodies the meaning of "When the warm spring breeze melts the frozen ice and soil, a mysterious seed is sown that welcomes change." The collection showcases the inherited and evolved techniques of artisans like "board binding," "washi prints," and "hand-painting." In addition, the collection uses materials to create contrast. Keep it chic... Sweet with white, spicy with black... Enjoy the brand's unique perspective and worldview this season as well.

This vest, perfect for a layered spring look, features cotton warp threads and alternating cotton and linen weft threads, resulting in a soft texture and comfortable feel against the skin. This time, the styling is a cool look, paired with a plain cut-and-sew top in a melange color with heathered yarn, which has a jacquard pattern that evokes the wind patterns of the sand dunes. The shoes that go with it also have a twist that is typical of Jiu. The silver foil on the toe has been specially treated to give it a unique, cracked look.

This vest is sure to broaden your wardrobe. The specially crafted textile, featuring hole detail and a line pattern made with water-soluble yarn, exudes a modern marine vibe. Paired with charming polka-dot pants. The pattern on the fabric used for these pants is not a typical print, but a random dot pattern created using a thread called "Papilio," which creates round, three-dimensional motifs when heat is applied. The socks, which are also recommended for sock lovers, feature a cute triangular motif at the opening. Pair them with suede and tanned leather slip-on shoes for a casual chic look.

The two-tone vest is not a combination of two colors of fabric, but is made using textiles with different colors in different sections. The weft threads of the fabric are uniform, while the warp threads are black and white in different sections to create color contrast. Paired with pants in the same color, which have just the right amount of firmness and a natural wrinkled texture, the overall look is chic and understated, while the sheer socks and sandals add a touch of lightness and romance.

This vest features an asymmetrical design, with patterns on the left side and back adding a stylish accent to your outfit. It also looks great on its own, without an inner layer. The skirt chosen for the bottom features a lovely, elegant line and is crafted from jacquard fabric woven on a rare loom, of which there are only a few in Japan. The piece makes full use of the material's techniques, with a partial block check pattern and fringe for a three-dimensional effect. The shoes, with their fresh, random lace detail, complete the fashionable look.

The special exhibition "Compassionate Rain & Craftsman's Dreams - Archives Exhibition: Things You Can Only Find Here" will be open to the public for two days, March 17th and 18th. The exhibition unravels the origins and evolution of Jiu's craftsmanship, which began with the creation of a single piece of cloth, through the textiles, products, and production process of "Takumi no Yume," a textile factory in Niigata Prefecture.
