MAISON KITSUNE has unveiled looks from its Fall/Winter 2017 men's collection. Creative directors Gilda Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki created the collection, inspired by American pop culture and the authentic creativity of Paris-based, New York-born artist William Klein. A playful take on American superheroes is interspersed with classic nuances. Jacquard sweaters are adorned with stars, and wool jacquard suits incorporate psychedelic comic book speech bubbles. Raincoats are embroidered with vibrant layers of color. Classic and military ensemble details are subtly incorporated throughout the collection. A wool officer's coat plays boldly with red quilting, paired with camel-colored sweatpants. The work coat is reinterpreted in cotton twill, with the fox motif blending into the camouflage pattern and a removable Velcro logo patch. The collection, which has the slogans "Courage" and "Formidable," pursues comfort and functionality while incorporating a playful approach to fabric and volume.
