Mitsuaki Iwago, an animal photographer born in Tokyo in 1950, has made it his life's work to photograph the animals closest to us, "cats," for over half a century. This exhibition focuses on the "kittens" Iwago has encountered from all over the world. 
 
 
Enjoy the daily adventures of adorable and energetic "kittens" through approximately 150 works. The exhibition also features photographs of "tigers," this year's zodiac sign. Photo books and original merchandise will also be available for purchase in the accompanying merchandise corner. Profile of Mitsuaki Iwago
Born in Tokyo in 1950, Mitsuaki Iwago is an animal photographer. He has been photographing familiar cats as his life's work for over half a century. In 2012, he began filming the NHK BS Premium program "Mitsuaki Iwago's World Cat Walk." His published works include "Cats," "Cats of My Hometown," "Mitsuaki Iwago's World Cat Search," "The Cat and Grandpa," "Kitten," "Pantanal," "The Iwago Family's Cat Brothers: Tamasaburo and Tomotaro," and "Tiger." He is the director of "Grandpa and Cat" in 2019 and "Mitsuaki Iwago's World Cat Walk: As It Is, a Cat Family of Water and Earth" in 2021.
 
222 Cat Lovers' Gathering in Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi
Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store will be hosting "222 Cat Lovers' Gathering in Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi" throughout the entire store from February 16th to March 1st. A wide variety of products, including exclusive items for cat lovers, will be available on each floor of the Main Building and New Building, and a photo spot will be set up in the central hall on the first floor of the Main Building. This year, the annual "National Famous Confections Exhibition," held on the 7th floor of the Main Building from February 22nd ("Cat Day") through February 28th, will also feature a collection of cat-themed sweets. Other events to celebrate "Cat Day" include a stamp rally from the 23rd to the 27th and an original sticker giveaway campaign on the 22nd and 23rd.
