Arita, a jewelry brand created by the daughter-in-law of Marni's founding designer, opens its first store in Japan at Hankyu Umeda

Feb 13, 2017

The first ALIITA store, stocking the entire lineup, will open on February 15th inside D.Edit on the third floor of the Umeda Hankyu building. ALIITA is a jewelry brand created by Cynthia Vilchez Castiglioni, stepdaughter of Marni's founding designer, Consuelo Castiglioni. Cynthia studied fashion marketing at the European Institute of Design and gained experience at Vionnet, Miu Miu, and Jil Sander. The name ALIITA means "something precious" in the Wayuu language of the Guajiro people. Starting with a collection titled "PURE HOME," which focused on the home, a place where women cherish their various feelings, ALIITA has since released "CHROMATIC INDICATOR," inspired by the Guajiro people and architect Gio Ponti, and "ARORAIMA COLLECTION," inspired by the lightning bolts of Mount Lomaima and Catatumbo in Venezuela. The entire lineup will be available at D.Edit on the 3rd floor of Umeda Hankyu on February 15th.
