The first Japanese store of the Siberian organic cosmetics brand "NATURA SIBERICA" (located at 5-6-6 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo) opened on December 6th.
Siberia is a land of harsh natural environments, with temperatures reaching minus 57 degrees Celsius in winter and over 35 degrees Celsius in summer. The wild herbs and plants that grow in Siberia's climate, characterized by extreme temperature fluctuations, have long been believed to contain great vitality, and have been used by indigenous Siberians to treat all kinds of ailments and maintain beautiful skin. "NATURA SIBERICA" was born in 2007 as an organic cosmetics brand, drawing on the wisdom of indigenous peoples and conducting extensive research on Siberian herbs and plants with local herbalists.
A distinctive feature of the brand is the incorporation of adaptogens, an adaptogenic ingredient, into a variety of products. Adaptogens are compounds found in natural herbs and other plants that enhance tonic abilities. Only about 21 species of plants containing adaptogens have been found worldwide, four of which are endemic to Siberia. This cosmetics brand combines adaptogens extracted from these endemic Siberian species with herbal extracts and oils that provide moisturizing and antioxidant properties. Natura Siberica has also received organic certification from ICEA (the Italian organic cosmetics certification body) and ECOCERT (the French organic cosmetics certification body; this series is not available in Japan), both of which are considered strict standards in Europe. "We want you to experience the power of Siberia that Natura Siberica possesses," says Brand Manager Buyulia Gerasimova. In Japan, the brand will launch with face care, body care, and hair care lines.
