MEDICOM TOY is running a Christmas promotion at the International Creators booth on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building. The event runs until December 25th. BE@RBRICK, the well-known bear with movable limbs, has been released in a variety of versions, including an Isetan-exclusive tartan version (980 yen), a Santa Claus costume version (1,575 yen), and a version with a Christmas tree painted on the body (1,575 yen). Sync., a brand launched in November this year to propose items unique to MEDICOM TOY through artwork and designs by artists from around the world, has collaborated with Isetan and Finnish artist Klaus Haapaniemi, who designed Isetan's Christmas campaign.
They will be selling Christmas-themed items such as a limited-edition Christmas pen case (2,940 yen), iPad case (5,775 yen), and document case (12,600 yen). During the period, they will also be taking orders for sofas manufactured by Karimoku, which use textiles designed by Haapaniemi for the fabric.
As they have many relatively reasonable items in the Men's Building, such as items priced under 1,000 yen, they are said to be popular with female customers looking for gifts for men, as well as with families.
