"Fire," a burlesque dance show from Paris's venerable cabaret, Crazy Horse, produced by shoe designer Christian Louboutin, nicknamed the "Shoe Magician," has been adapted into a 3D film. David Lynch composed the music for one sequence, and the production and technical staff are the same team behind Wim Wenders' "Pina," a film chronicling the masterpiece of the late Pina Bausch, a foundational figure in contemporary dance. This, then, is no ordinary documentary. This film is truly a work of art, combining exquisite entertainment sprinkled with eroticism with elements of artistic cinema. Louboutin's high heels, a classic item in fashion history, sometimes coveted artefacts and a symbol of fetishism, play a lavish role throughout the film.

The dancers, not only the main stars but also the best in looks and technique, boast perfectly trained bodies and flawless performances. Men are surely not the only ones captivated by the beautiful, seductive poses of the dancers, who have received standard training in arousing male desires. Their hearts leap with excitement as their small, charming breasts peek out from their stylish costumes.

And I truly realized that what is lacking not only in contemporary dance, but in many forms of modern artistic expression, is this physical response, sensuality, and "visual pleasure."

The glamour and glamour that only showy dance performances possess is an undeniable serotonin-fueled "euphoria" and a narcotic pleasure that energizes you for the day ahead.

Crazy Horse, with Philippe Defoucle as artistic director, is known for its most cutting-edge style among the long-established cabarets.
