[Live Broadcast] Salon du Chocolat Eve Festival Begins. Enter a dizzying world of sweet magic

Jan 21, 2014

The opening night of the Paris-originated chocolate festival "Salon du Chocolat," now in its 12th year in Japan, kicked off at 7:30 PM on January 21st. The event began with an opening movie exploring the history of the event. Approximately 300 MI Card members and members of the press gathered at the venue.

Salon du Chocolat will be held at the Isetan Shinjuku store from January 22nd to 27th. Under this year's theme, "La Majie," approximately 80 brands from around the world, including 17 first-time exhibitors, will gather to share the magic of chocolate.

In addition to chocolate items such as the "Selection Box," a box packed with chocolates from a popular chocolatier that draws long lines every year, and a collaboration box in which chef Tsuchiya Koji of "Theobroma" recreates the chocolates that appear in the currently airing TV drama "Shitsuren Chocolatier" (Mizushiro Setona/Shogakukan Flower Comics α), there will also be a wide selection of take-out items such as croissants and soft serve ice cream.

After the store closes, Salon du Chocolat will be held at JR Kyoto Isetan, JR Osaka Mitsukoshi Isetan, Iwataya Main Store, Nagoya Sakae Mitsukoshi, Sendai Mitsukoshi, and Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store.
