
Singer Alicia Keys was born on January 25, 1981, in New York, USA. She began playing piano at the age of seven and studied a wide range of genres, from classical to jazz. In 2001, she released her debut album, "Songs in A Minor." It won five Grammy Awards and sold over 12 million copies worldwide. In 2003, she released her second album, "Diary of Alicia Keys." It sold over 8 million copies worldwide and won four Grammy Awards for the second consecutive album. The lead track, "No One," from her 2007 album, "As I Am," won two Grammy Awards. That summer, she made her first appearance at Summer Sonic, performing as a second headliner on the main stage. In 2009, her collaboration with Jay-Z on the song "Empire State of Mind" won two Grammy Awards, bringing her total to 14 Grammy Awards since her debut.
In her personal life, she married music producer Swizz Beatz in 2012 and has a son. She is also known as an avid philanthropist, running her own non-profit organization, "Keep Child Alive," which provides medicine directly to children affected by AIDS and their families.
