Etro Paisley Awards: Winning Works Exhibited at Ginza Main Store

May 3, 2013

ETRO is hosting an exhibition of outstanding works from the "Paisley Award in Japan" at its Ginza flagship store (6-6-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) until May 10th, with the aim of promoting the brand's signature paisley motif and supporting the development of young Japanese artists.

Works by students from Tama Art University and Tokyo University of the Arts are on display on the store's walls, stairwells, and pillar wraps. To coincide with the exhibition, a special display of the "Faccia da Paisley" series from the women's collection, featuring faces made of paisley, has been set up in the façade window.

Paisley is a motif originating in Mesopotamia that symbolizes the seeds of the date palm, also known as the "Tree of Life." It is ETRO's brand icon.
