The first collaboration between Maison Kitsuné and Aigle is a French festival item

With the rainy season and outdoor festival season approaching, the first collaboration between Maison Kitsuné and French outdoor brand Aigle is creating a buzz.

The items include a poncho and rubber boots, and as befits a collaboration between two French brands, the design is based on a tricolor color scheme. The boots are an adaptation of Aigle's classic design, with a navy body featuring a white sole, belt, and tricolor stripes. Available in both men's and women's sizes, the collection is priced at 31,500 yen.

The poncho is made from waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex and features a large chest pocket with a red flap. In Japan, the women's version is the only item available, priced at 73,500 yen.

The items are available at Maison Kitsuné and Aigle's directly managed stores and their respective online sites. The collection will also be available at a pop-up shop at Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku, which will be held from May 17th to June 11th to celebrate Aigle's 20th anniversary in Japan.

Maison Kitsuné is a brand founded in 2002 by KITSUNE's Masaya Kuroki and Gildas Loaec. The brand has actively collaborated with popular brands such as Oliver Peoples, Olympia Le Tan, and New Era. In February, the company established a joint venture with apparel company Jun, Maison Kitsuné Japan, and opened two stores in Aoyama: one selling the brand's main collection and one with a cafe attached. This marks the start of a full-scale expansion into Japan.

Aigle is a long-established brand that celebrates its 160th anniversary this year and its 20th anniversary in Japan. It has been popular for its functional and stylish outdoor items, including the rubber boots that inspired the brand's founding. In recent years, the brand has expanded its business as a lifestyle brand, focusing on fashion items suitable for everyday wear. In March, the brand reopened its Shibuya store as a new concept shop.
