A collaboration between the guitar rock band [Champagne] and LITHIUM HOMME, who will be performing at the Nippon Budokan in March of next year, has been announced.
The first item in the collaboration is the collaboration sunglasses "Rise...." The design is inspired by the hairstyle of [Champagne] vocalist and guitarist Yohei Kawakami and the song "Rise" from their latest album, "Me No Do Karate." The body is a black color symbolizing rock and fashion, and the temples near the ears are adorned with gold, reminiscent of Kawakami's back hair.
The sunglasses are produced in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a world-renowned eyewear production center, and will be available in early November at authorized Lithium Homme retailers and the [Champagne] web store. Pre-orders began on the 4th on ZOZOTOWN and the Lithium Homme official website. It was also announced that [Champagne] will be creating the theme song for Lithium Homme's Fall/Winter 2013 collection, and artist photos of [Champagne] wearing the collection have been released. Collaborative music videos and fashion merchandise are planned for the future. [Champagne] is a four-member band formed in 2007 by vocalist Yohei Kawakami, who grew up in Syria and speaks both English and Japanese with a Middle Eastern accent, and bassist Hiroyuki Isobe, who grew up in the United States. They released their debut album, "Where's My Potato?", in 2010 and have released four albums since. Influenced by UK rock such as Oasis, they have also opened for Muse and Kasabian. They are scheduled to perform their final solo concert of the tour at Nippon Budokan on March 28th of next year.
