Yuhi Ozaki's "SUN/kakke" will be available exclusively at Birdhouse. Special order denim shirts will be released.

Oct 8, 2013

A shop-in-shop for Yuhi Ozaki's brand, SUN/kakke, will be open from the 10th to the 16th at the Minami-Aoyama concept shop BIRDHOUSE (2nd floor, 5-3-22 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo). Ozaki himself will be in-store on the 12th and 13th. Business hours during this period will be from 11:00 to 20:00.

As a special order item, SUN/kakke will release a special edition of its classic denim shirt, "CRAZY" (31,500 yen). The design adds a playful touch with the crazy patterns popular in the 70s and 80s. Both fabrics are made using fine-count indigo thread; the lighter version is a chambray with white thread, while the darker version is made with indigo thread both vertically and horizontally. The brand's meticulous stitching and attention to detail are evident in the single chain stitch, the fineness of the sewing thread, the fineness of the stitching, and the use of a core.

Yuhi Ozaki started SUN/kakke in the autumn/winter season last year after working as a buyer at a select shop, a vintage shop owner, and the director of Fil Melange.
