Lucien Pellat-Finet, known as the "King of Cashmere," has launched a new upcycling project, "CIRCLE OF LIFE," in which he remakes his own personal archive collection.

Born out of "sustainability," a major theme not only in the fashion industry but on a global scale, this project is based on Lucien Pellat-Finet's philosophy that "quality things should be passed down from generation to generation" and "life should be beautiful and full of joy," and remakes approximately 100 pieces from his private collection, all of which were stored in a closet in Paris.

The remakes use high-quality deadstock cashmere yarn, crystals, studs, suede leather, embossing, and more. In addition to the brand's signature Scottish cashmere intarsia knitwear, the lineup also includes remade vintage denim items. The brand celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2019, and its pop and witty motifs, which had become difficult to obtain, have been given new life and revived.

"Circle of Life" is not just for fans and enthusiasts who have been searching for archives at resale markets and auctions, but also for those who "hope that the joy of reaching the hands of the next person who will cherish it will also lead to my own joy." The first collection will be available for pre-sale from October 29th at the Tokyo Midtown store in Roppongi, with more to be added in the future.
