To coincide with Isetan Shinjuku's "France Week," a limited-time shop called "Weekend a Deauville" has opened on the second floor of the main building, The Stage #2. It will be open until April 22nd.
The theme is a holiday spent in Deauville, one of France's most popular resort towns in Normandy. The shop offers a selection of multi-striped and printed items inspired by colorful parasols, proposing styles that evoke the elegant summer holiday scenes of Parisians and Parisian women.
In addition to classic tops like cut-and-sew tops and cardigans, the shop also features a wide range of dresses and skirt looks that are on trend this year. The dress with a graphic print (38,000 yen) and the feminine chiffon dress in white and pink (62,000 yen) are knee-length pieces that even mature women can wear with elegance. Other items on offer include a tote bag (9,000 yen) with a transfer print of a beach photo, beaded earrings, and cord bracelets, perfect for summer outfits. Also available are two special leather jackets (one of each style) autographed by the brand's founder, a Japan lover. The store's facade also evokes the summer in Deauville, with the beach, a landscape representative of Deauville's summer, painted on the interior wall. A casino-inspired display evokes the image of a nighttime resort. During the promotional period, customers who spend over 20,000 yen on select products will receive an original novelty gift on a first-come, first-served basis. On the 19th and 20th, the first 50 customers will also receive a free fruit drink.
