Christian Louboutin's new collection features psychedelic '60s fashion reimagined in high heels

May 6, 2017

Christian Louboutin's latest shoe collection, the "60's collection," has arrived from its Spring/Summer 2017 collection.

Inspired by the statement fashion of the 1960s, the collection reinterprets the mod and psychedelic colorways that were popular at the time, with edgy chunky heels and bold colors, adding a modern twist.

The "Bibaba" (¥97,000) is crafted from glossy black patent leather and features a gold specchio leather heel, evoking a 1960s R&B vibe. The classic Mary Jane-style strap is contrasted with geometric studs, embodying a theme that runs throughout the collection. The "Bibababy" (¥97,000) low-heeled pumps are based on a classic Mary Jane, accented with vivid colors and a clear acrylic heel. "Zerlita" (104,000 yen), inspired by the elegant woman of high society, is a ladylike T-strap high heel. It combines a beautiful contrast of black and white patent leather with a gorgeous gold heel made of specchio leather, and is adorned with a handmade bow on the upper. "Zerlisixry" (97,000 yen), with a stable 35mm block heel, features a ballerina silhouette finished in lustrous baby pink and jet black patent leather and is adorned with a slim bow for a charming look.

In addition to the above items, the "60's collection" will also include gladiator sandals and clutch bags in vibrant color combinations. Available at Christian Louboutin boutiques nationwide and the official online boutique.
