The 11th Tokyo Flea Market, to be held at the Tokyo Auver Keiokaku on May 13th and 14th, will feature the "Tokyo Anko Street," a special event themed around red bean paste. This event will bring together renowned shops from Tokyo, Hokkaido, and Kansai, using red bean paste, a staple of Japanese culture. The lineup will overturn traditional imagery of red bean paste, showcasing not only the finest flavors and ingredients, but also the creative ways in which the bean paste is placed and presented. The event will feature seven vendors, including Antakiya Nakai, which believes that red bean paste is the essence of Japanese sweets and offers sweets made with homemade bean paste; Wa no Kashi Jun, which creates healthy Japanese sweets using naturally grown ingredients that don't raise blood sugar levels; and Umezono Sabo, which began as a creative bean paste confectionery shop by Kyoto's long-established sweets shop Umezono and is making its Tokyo debut. This will be an opportunity to sample a variety of Japanese sweets made with red bean paste.
