LOEWE has announced a special summer collection in collaboration with Paula's Ibiza, the iconic Ibiza boutique. The collection will be available in Japan from May 1st at Casa Loewe Omotesando, with special content to commemorate the launch.
Located in the heart of Ibiza's old town, Paula's enjoyed cult status as the city's fashion capital from 1972 to 2000. A frequent haunt of painters, actors, and aristocrats, its clientele included rock stars like Freddie Mercury and fashion designers like Valentino. This new collaboration was conceived by Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, who first encountered Paula's on a childhood trip to the Balearic Islands.
The collection features a wide variety of apparel, including printed dresses and patchwork denim, as well as bags, shoes, and towels, all in a rich saffron and vibrant turquoise color palette. For this special line, Paula's co-founder Armin Heinemann has provided garment designs that revamp original prints from the archives and best-selling pieces. Paula's signature prints, featuring musicians, birds, and flowers, are given new life by incorporating the Loewe anagram.
Iconic Loewe items, such as the Puzzle Bag with its colorful parrot motif, are featured in this special collection. The design, which more clearly showcases the Maison's innovative technique, "marquetry in leather," is a "modern craft" that embodies cutting-edge laser cutting technology and the Maison's renowned artisanal skills. Its intricacy is sure to astound.
Casa Loewe Omotesando will be decorated with special prints from May 1st to 14th. A print car, once used for Paula's deliveries, will be on display, and everything from display cushions and parasols to mannequins will be covered in vibrant prints. Also during this period, a campaign will be held in which customers who become friends with the official Loewe Japan LINE account can download smartphone wallpapers made with special prints. Additionally, a Polaroid photoshoot will be held on the 6th and 7th. Experience the world of Paula's in-store photoshoot and receive a Polaroid framed with the same special print as a gift.
