Nike Basketball will release an anniversary colorway of the "KD10" shoe (priced at ¥17,500) from its "KD" shoe line on May 26th.
In May 2007, Nike signed Kevin Durant and shortly thereafter provided him with his first signature shoe. Ten years later, Durant, working with Nike designer Leo Chang, has devised a new strategy to develop a signature basketball line from a player's perspective.
The shoe uses low-stretch, durable yarn for hold. High-stretch yarn is used in the collar and forefoot with the latest Flyknit technology, achieving the ideal balance of basketball-specific support and a snug, comfortable fit. The sole also features Nike Zoom Air, which has been used since the "KD9," for maximum shock absorption and improved durability. Flyknit provides precise flexibility, breathability, and support where you need it. The anniversary colorway, which will not be available in Japan, is based on a faint (pale) blue base and features a swoosh that blends the colors of the teams Durant played for during his college days. This is the first time Nike has designed a custom swoosh to commemorate a 10th anniversary. The "KD10 Still KD (White)" colorway is scheduled to be released on June 2nd.
