The UV protection season has finally begun in earnest. The Beauty Apothecary on the second basement floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building offers a wide variety of UV protection items with different textures, scents, and ingredients, supporting your sun protection with personalized recommendations. We spoke to floor manager Yumi Toritani about her recommendations and bestsellers for face and body. A highly moisturizing sun lotion developed for Japanese customers. Neal's Yard Remedies Sun Lotion L is a sunscreen milk designed for the delicate skin of Japanese women. "It doesn't leave a dry feeling after applying sunscreen, and it's characterized by its light, smooth feel and high moisturizing power," says Toritani. KORRES NATURAL PRODUCTS Sunscreen Spray YG 50 is a spray-type sunscreen that has a thick texture but spreads easily, making it easy to use on the whole body. "The yogurt scent is a rare item. The good thing about natural cosmetics is that even though it has SPF50, it can be removed with body wash. Another reason it's popular is that it doesn't leave a white cast," says Toritani.
