This innovative design, featuring the latest Mini Cooper model covered in straight lines in vibrant colors like pink and turquoise, is the work of New York-based Brazilian artist Theo Pinto.
The piece, titled "SINFUL COLORS CAR," was conceived as part of nail polish manufacturer SINFUL COLORS' social media campaign, "Color Outside the Lines." Using Theo's signature drip painting technique, the piece began with creating a special stand to hold the car upright. But the most notable feature is the paint used. Amazingly, the vibrant color scheme was all from SINFUL COLORS's SS16 nail polish collection. A staggering 450 liters of nail polish was used.
The project, which took place over a total of four days, was open to the public and attracted a large audience of SINFUL COLORS fans and passersby. The completed car was then gifted to one person selected from those who posted their own interpretation of the hashtag "#ColorOutsideTheLines" on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Over 40,000 entries were received, indicating the high level of interest.
