Burberry presented its September 2016 collection in London. This marked the first time that both men's and women's collections were presented simultaneously, with the items available for purchase in stores and online immediately after the runway show. The collection was inspired by the theme of "home," a theme that has witnessed the evolution of lifestyles, culture, and fashion throughout history. The runway showcased looks inspired by Virginia Woolf's Orlando and the work of interior and gardening designer Nancy Lancaster. A diverse array of celebrities attended the event, including leading British models Cara Tervigne, Jourdan Dunn, Amber Anderson, and Edie Campbell, actresses Lily James and Felicity Jones, fashion icons Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo, actor Nicholas Hoult, film director Steve McQueen, and photographer Mario Testino. The runway was held at Maker's House, the former site of a bookstore that has served as a cultural salon since the 1920s. The venue will also feature installations and demonstrations that allow visitors to experience the inspiration and background of the collection until September 27th. The collection can also be viewed on the official website.
