ISETAN MiRROR on the second floor of Lumine Shinjuku released a limited-edition makeup kit on September 5th, a collaboration between its original cosmetics brand ISETAN MiRROR beaute and artist Miliyah Kato. The lineup includes four styles: "ROMAN," featuring a passionate, bright red lip; "BABY LOVE," evoking an innocent expression with pink blush; "EMOTION," creating determined eyes and lively lips; and "Young Lady," creating an exquisite presence somewhere between a young girl and a mature woman. Each kit features items chosen based on Miliyah's song titles. During the campaign, these and other popular Miliyah songs will be featured throughout the store. Additionally, oversized posters featuring Miliyah herself will decorate the interior, and in-store signage will play the music video for her new single, "YOU... feat. Nakasone Izumi (HY)," which will be released on the 3rd. Furthermore, Isetan Mirror staff served customers in uniforms designed by Miliyah. The image for this uniform was inspired by a piping shirt dress from her own brand, KAWI JAMELE. The skirt length was lengthened to create a more comfortable uniform. Regarding this collaboration, a sales representative commented, "Miliyah has very high expectations for makeup and knows the joy of discovering a new you through it. While working together, I felt a sense of empathy every time I heard her passion for makeup." In particular, she resonated with the desire to expose teenage and 20-something girls who visit the store to the joy of wearing luxury items by experiencing high-quality, authentic products. Miliyah, who made a secret appearance in-store on the first day of the campaign, said, "I spent a lot of time selecting the items, even trying out the actual colors before deciding on the combinations," and looked pleased with the kits lined up on the sales floor. There was also a scene where she casually said to a staff member wearing a uniform, "You'd look cuter in lighter colored tights."
As she is particularly particular about both fashion and makeup, attention will be focused on her performance and outfits at "VOGUE FASHION'S NIGHT OUT 2014" on September 6th.
"I love fashion as much as I love music, so I'm really looking forward to it. Since it's a festival that takes over the city of Tokyo, I think it's a good idea to dress up even more than usual. However, since it's an event that goes on until late at night, don't get too excited and wear too much makeup, as it might come off, so be careful," she said.
