teamLab will be holding the "Infinity of Flowers" exhibition at Gucci Shinjuku, showcasing floral installations from September 13th to 28th. The exhibition uses a computer program to continuously render the process of flowers blooming, scattering, and re-sprouting in real time. The video reflects the viewer's spontaneous behavior, such as flowers dancing when they touch the screen. This creates a unique experience, as if they have entered a floral world. teamLab is a collective of technologists, including programmers, robotics engineers, architects, and graphic designers, specializing in the information society. Their work combines science, technology, design, and art to develop websites and spatial designs. The media art works of teamLab's founder, Toshiyuki Inoko, have also been highly acclaimed internationally, winning the Design, Arts, and Culture Award at Laval Virtual 2012, Europe's largest virtual reality exhibition.
During the event, teamLab's works will also be exhibited in an 8-meter window facing Shinjuku-dori.
