Rei Kawakubo's archive collection of COMME des GARÇONS from the past has been on sale exclusively on the e-commerce site Farfetch since April 26th.
To commemorate the special exhibition "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between" at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in New York,
the archive collection of COMME des GARÇONS owned by archive specialist store "Dot COMME" has been released.
The women's items featured this time include the "body meets dress, dress meets body" ensemble from the Spring/Summer 1997 collection, the "yellow tartan voile attachment suit" from the Fall/Winter 2000-01 collection, the "checkerboard dress" from the Spring/Summer 2001 collection, the "unconstructed tulle dress" from the Spring/Summer 2007 collection, the "2D felt ensemble" from the Fall/Winter 2012-13 collection, and the "2D chintz loop dress" from the Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
Meanwhile, for men, various items will be available, including the "Pixel Camouflage Suit" from the Spring/Summer 1995 collection, the "Silk Scarf Quilted Suit" from the Fall/Winter 1999-2000 collection, the "Plaid Switch Suit" from the Fall/Winter 2000-01 collection, the "Checkerboard Suit" from the Spring/Summer 2001 collection, the "Signature Suit" from the Spring/Summer 2006 collection, and the "Skull Print Suit" and "Orange Mesh Shirt" from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
