The exhibition "Egg Chair as Sculpture - When a Sculpture is Completed" will be held at DANSK MOBEL GALLERY, an interior design shop in Tokyo's Ginza district that specializes in selling high-end Danish furniture, from 6:30 PM on June 4th. The Egg Chair is an iconic chair by Scandinavian furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen. It was created as part of the architectural project for the SAS Royal Hotel in Denmark, and its outstanding design and comfortable seating still feel new today, making it a popular choice for public facilities around the world. Hans Mannerhagen, a veteran craftsman who has been upholstering Egg Chairs for many years, will be visiting Japan to demonstrate how to sew an Egg Chair, just like a traditional sculpture. The completed Egg Chair will be finished in Elegance Walnut Leather and will be available for purchase. The event is limited to 30 people.
