On August 22nd, H.P. FRANCE opened a pop-up shop for the Brazilian fashion brand OSKLEN on the second basement floor of the HERBIS PLAZA ENT shopping complex in Umeda, Osaka. The shop will run for six months until late January 2016, marking OSKLEN's first store in Osaka. H.P. FRANCE became OSKLEN's exclusive distributor in Japan about eight years ago, and currently operates only a flagship store in Omotesando Hills, Tokyo. Regarding this new store, the company explained, "It's a test sale as we explore future store openings in major cities outside of Tokyo." OSKLEN, created by creative director Oscar Metsavat, operates over 70 stores in its home country of Brazil and is positioned as a luxury brand. Due to the company's strict selection of store locations, it has not yet expanded to multiple locations in Japan, but it has confirmed that a new store will open in Tokyo in 2017. The theme for 2015-16 AW is "A couple traveling around the world," with the contents of each man's and woman's suitcases being commercialized. For women, the brand offers items featuring fur and stretch jackets made from jersey material. The main price range for women is 30,000 to 35,000 yen, and for men it is around 20,000 yen. The brand's sneakers are very popular, accounting for 40% of sales in Brazil.
