Crafted by master artisans at Louis Vuitton's prestigious atelier in Asnières, a suburb of Paris, France, the trunk is covered in the Maison's iconic Monogram canvas and features traditional brass hardware. Since its founding in 1854, product personalization has been an essential element in the Maison's DNA and the embodiment of its traditional craftsmanship. This same customization is also reflected in the trophy case. The iconic "V" motif, symbolizing "Victory Travels in Louis Vuitton" (carrying the hopes of all the players who fought for victory, the journey continues), is painted white with blue and red lines. The interior is also colored deep blue, the traditional NBA color, to highlight the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

As the NBA's first official trophy case provider, Louis Vuitton is producing original trophy cases through a multi-year partnership agreement. In May of this year, Louis Vuitton announced the second installment of its "LV x NBA" men's capsule collection, a collaboration with the NBA created by Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh. Based on the original theme of "LV x NBA," this second collection features wardrobes that reflect the dress codes of basketball players' three key situations: travel, games, and press conferences. This iconic "LV x NBA" basketball, Louis Vuitton's first, is available in a size 7 version as well as a smaller collector's edition measuring approximately 13cm in diameter.
