SPORTMAX held its Spring/Summer 2017 show in Milan on September 23rd. Inspired by Japanese photographer Kusunoki Uraguchi's photo book "Shima no Ama," the collection evoked a playful, optimistic, and cheerful atmosphere, reminiscent of the innocent, natural smiles of the women of the sea. Materials such as soft, hand-washed cotton and wavy silk created a light and airy impression. Thin metal threads were woven into wrinkled linen to create a worn texture. Gatherings and drawstrings were frequently used, taking advantage of the softness of the materials to create balloon skirts, and waistlines and side seams could be adjusted, embracing the "spontaneous" trend that continued from last season. Spindle heels in eggshell blue and towbar red accented the models' light steps, and the lively expressions of the models further enhanced the joyful atmosphere of the show.
