About the Works

Work 1. "Spinout Hours - Two Spinout Hours and Then Some"
For this exhibition, set in the RICOH ART GALLERY LOUNGE, which opened in the observation lounge on the 9th floor of the San-ai Dream Center, Toyama created an installation themed around "time" that incorporates the surrounding historical scenery, such as the Wako Clock Tower and Ginza Mitsukoshi. The location chosen by Masamichi Toyama, born in 1962, is the San-ai Dream Center, which opened at the Ginza 4-Chome intersection the year before the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. In the title work, "Spinout Hours ~ Two Spinned Hours and Then Some," a new story unfolds in this building, which has witnessed the past, present, and future of Tokyo, incorporating AR (Augmented Reality) technology.

Work 2. "OTM (On the time machine)"
In the other work, "OTM (On the time machine)," Masamichi Toyama, born in 1962, superimposes the period of high economic growth following the 1964 Olympics with his own entrepreneurial ventures, creating a "time machine" as a device for each individual to create their own future. Three boardable OTMs will be installed within the venue, allowing you to travel to the future of your choice.
