
Actor Colin Farrell was born on May 31, 1976, in Dublin, Ireland. While attending the Gaiente School of Drama, he appeared in numerous television shows and films without garnering significant attention. After dropping out, he made his Hollywood debut in 2000 in Joel Schumacher's Tigerland. His performance was highly praised, earning him the Boston Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actor. He starred alongside Tom Cruise in Steven Spielberg's Minority Report in 2002 and Al Pacino in The Recruit in 2003. He has since gained popularity as one of Hollywood's leading young actors. In 2008, he starred in The Hitman's Requiem, for which he won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. Most recently, he played the lead role of Peter Lake in 2014's Winter's Tale. In 2003, he was ranked 6th in Company magazine's "Sexiest Man in the World" and was selected as one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful Men," making him a popular male celebrity. However, he has also been the subject of much discussion in the past about his flamboyant relationships with women and drug use.
